Royal Court Royal Tea

May 3, 2019 by Disney Cruise Mom Leave a Comment

The Royal Court Royal Tea is an event held on all four ships.  It is for children (boys are welcome too) ages 3 – 12 and they must be accompanied by an adult.  Children ages 13  to 18 will be charged the adult price, and solo adults are not allowed.

It requires an advance reservation and it is not cheap. Currently, children are $220 and adults are $69.  You can check the DCL website here for the latest prices and lots more details.

Your child will receive an invitation in your stateroom the day before the event.  The event usually starts around 3:00 and begins with each child being announced and escorted to their table.  The girls will receive tiaras.  After that, there is individual time at your table with each princess in attendance (usually 3), and there is a short singing/dancing performance by the characters.

The food is typically things like finger sandwiches, scones, and cupcakes.  There is of course tea, as well as juice for the kids. Gifts are presented to each child.  Currently, girls receive these items but this could change at any time:

jewelry box

link bracelet (each princess that visits your table will give you a charm for this)

necklace with charms

Cinderella doll

autograph book with pen

tiara

Currently, boys receive these items:

Royal Court cinch bag

sword and shield

pins

autograph book

Duffy the Disney Bear plush

In addition, each child will receive a framed photo of themselves with the princesses.

I have personally never attended, but a guest trip reporter did this event on the Wonder a few months ago (full trip report here) and took these pictures:
