Day 5:  At Sea

It was finally the last day of our 10 wonderful days and nights on the Disney Magic! I slept in a little bit after our long day yesterday and got up around 9:30 AM.  I went to deck 9 for coffee and stopped by Cabanas for some pastries to bring back to the room for the others.  Then, I went to the Oceaneer’s Club to return the wristband that was never used.  On the way, I noticed that some of the doors to the outdoor area on deck 4 were closed.  It was a very windy day, and while I wouldn’t call the seas rough, we could definitely feel some motion.  Overall, I would say that the seas on these 2 cruises were average and nothing out of the ordinary.  I had 2 friends on one of the Bermuda sailings a few weeks later and they both told me that they had some crazy rough seas.

I also walked past the shops and got a picture of some of the Halloween merchandise.

We spent some time packing and then went to the Buena Vista Theater at 11:30 AM to watch The Lion King, which none of us had seen yet.  Right before the movie started, they also showed a long trailer for Maleficent 2 which was neat to see.

We all enjoyed the movie and then went to Cabanas to get some lunch before it closed.  I love eating lunch at Cabanas and was sad that this would be my last day.

After lunch, we went back to the rooms and finished packing.  We had to throw our crafts away which was a little bit sad.

After packing and watching some TV, we went to the Promenade Lounge at 4:30 for our last Disney Tunes Trivia and cotton candy milkshake.  Then, I made a quick stop at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  A reader had asked me to check and see which princess dresses were available, so I took some pictures and sent them to her after returning home.  I love the stairs leading up to the BBB:

These were only about half of the dresses, but my other pictures didn’t turn out well due to the windows and they had lots of people in them.  Next, I made a visit to the shops to make my final purchases.  I typically don’t buy stuff at the beginning of the cruise (except for cruise-specific merchandise that might sell out) and spend the duration of the cruise looking and re-looking, and finally deciding what I want to buy on the last day.  On the way, I walked through Preludes and had to take one last picture of Walt.

At 6:15, we went to the Walt Disney Theater for our final show: “Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic”.  We have seen this show so many times but always go because we love it so much.  They do make changes every now and then which is nice for repeat cruisers.

After the show, we went to the Promenade Lounge until dinner.  There was a guitar/singing duo called the Dreamers playing that we always enjoy.  We have seen them on several cruises over the years, and they were even on our very first cruise 6.5 years ago on the Magic.

At 8:15 we went to our final dinner in Lumiere’s.  I forgot to take pictures of the menu, but here is the same menu from when we had in in Animator’s Palate on the previous cruise:

The filet above was a bit too pink for my liking, but Leo quickly brought me another one.

After dinner, we said good-bye to Leo.  I really hope that we see him again, although I have no clue when we will next be on the Magic.

Next, we went back to the room to get the luggage in the hallway by 10:00.  We usually carry all of our suitcases off the ship, but for some reason we decided to set some of them out the night before.  We usually don’t do this because it makes packing take longer since you have to be more strategic with what you will need in the morning.  But, it is easier to not have so many suitcases in the morning and thus not have to wait forever for an elevator.  Getting an elevator on the morning of disembarkation is a major challenge!

After setting our suitcases in the hallway, we went to the D Lounge for our final karaoke session.

On the way, we caught the end of the ‘Til We Meet Again party in the lobby atrium.

After karaoke, we went to bed for the final time on the Magic.
