See Ya Real Soon!

September 29, 2015 by Disney Cruise Mom 8 Comments

Unfortunately this is not a cruise related post, but a post to let you all know that I won’t be adding any new content to the blog for a little while.  As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer about 6 weeks ago (at age 38) and tomorrow I will undergo a double mastectomy.  My doctors have warned me that it will be a long and painful recovery, and I don’t know how soon afterwards I will be able to blog.  Realistically, I think it will be anywhere in the 2-4 week range.

After I have recovered, I plan to share my story here with the hopes that it will help women to be diligent with their breast health and possibly even save lives.  I will miss you all while I am gone but promise to return as soon as I can!

I will keep you, your babies and your family in my prayers. I hope your battle is successful and doesn’t leave too many scars in its wake…. Be strong when you have to, then, let everyone else help and take care….

Thank you Angela. The surgery went well and so is the recovery, all things considered. This is definitely not an easy thing to go through. I have a wonderful support system which I am so thankful for. I hope that after another week or so I will be back to blogging.
