Disney Magic Room 2645

October 10, 2019 by Disney Cruise Mom 2 Comments

This is Disney Magic stateroom 2645. It is a Category 10C Deluxe Inside Stateroom located on deck 2 aft on the starboard side of the ship.  It sleeps 4 people and connects with room 2643 next door, which is also a category 10C.

First, I’d like to discuss my thoughts on the location.  We prefer aft rooms because they are on the same end of the ship as Cabanas, the drink station, Promenade Lounge, and 2 of the main dining rooms.  It is so quick and easy to go straight up and get to any of these spaces, which we do a lot.  We have stayed in a forward room before, but when going up to Cabanas or the drinks station, we find ourselves having to walk through/around the Quiet Cove (adults only area) which is on deck 9 forward.  If you are not traveling with kids, this is not an issue and may even be preferred.

Now, about the noise.  This room is at the very end of the corridor, so there is not a lot of foot traffic/noise outside. BUT, there is severe noise and vibrations in this room whenever the ship’s thrusters are operating, which is when the ship is pulling into or out of a port.  The noise and vibrations would last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, off and on.  My kids slept through it, but I could not. If anyone in your party would be sensitive to this, do not book a room in this area.  Overall, it didn’t bother us too much and it would not stop us from booking a room in this area again.  We typically are getting up and ready for port adventures when the ship is docking in the mornings anyway, so it worked like an alarm clock for us.  Perhaps check your itinerary to see what time the ship will be arriving/leaving in ports of call to get an idea of what times the noise will occur and decide if it will be a problem for you or not.

I personally like how the bed is at the back of the room rather than the center:

The sofa also turns into a twin bed, and another drops out of the ceiling above it:

This room meets at assembly station Q, which is in Animator’s Palate:

This room has the split bath layout.  Here is the room with the shower/tub combo and a sink:
