Disney Wonder Room 8602

November 25, 2016 by Disney Cruise Mom Leave a Comment

These are photos of stateroom 8602 on the Disney Wonder. It is a category 02B Concierge One Bedroom Suite with Verandah. It sleeps 4 people instead of 5 like the standard one bedroom suites because it is handicap accessible and has a different layout.  There is no murphy bed.  I have read reports of people requesting and receiving a rollaway bed for 2 kids who didn’t want to share the sofa bed, but there are no guarantees.  I am not sure if they would allow you to book 5 people in this room with the intention of using a rollaway for the 5th person.  You would have to call DCL and ask.  This room is all the way at the back of the ship and thus has a much larger verandah than normal, and also connects through an interior door to neighboring one bedroom suite 8600 (also handicap accessible).

Note that these pictures were taken before the Wonder dry dock in Oct/Nov 2016.  While I think the layout probably remains the same, the furnishings and finishes are different now.

The door behind the table connects to room 8600:

The first bathroom has only a roll-in shower:

And the second bathroom has both a tub and shower.  The shower is behind the curtain that is directly behind the tub:

Look how huge the verandah is!

The reader who sent these did caution that the verandah is not at all private.  Right above is the outdoor seating for Cabanas and people can and will look right over the railing and see you.

A huge thanks to Karin M. for sending in these photos!
