Hey fellow Disney Cruise Line fans, let’s help out the wonderful people of the Bahamas!
The Bahamas and their people are SO important to Disney Cruise Line! Not only do many Disney cruises visit the port of Nassau, but Castaway Cay is also part of the Bahamas. Did you know that whenever a Disney cruise ship visits Castaway Cay, many of the employees and excursion operators that you will encounter actually live on nearby Abaco Island and come over for the day to work hard to ensure that the cruise guests have an amazing day on the island? Many of these people will have lost everything and we need to do all we can to help! Disney Cruise Line announced yesterday that they will be donating over $1 million to the Bahamas (article with full details here), so let’s follow suit and help out!
For the next 7 days (until midnight EST on 9/15), I will give away a free digital PDF copy of my cruise planner (full post about the planner with photos and details here) to each one of you that donates at least $12 (the amount I usually charge for the planner) to an organization of your choice that is helping with the Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. Just email me a screen shot that shows the donation and who you made it to, and I’ll email you the planner! Please send the photo to disneycruisemomblog@gmail.com and give me at least 24 hours to respond as I am super busy right now.
There are lots of organizations accepting donations for Hurricane Dorian, so make sure that the one you choose is reputable. If you need some ideas, here are 2 that I know are legit:
