Disney Fantasy Room 5048

November 21, 2016 by Disney Cruise Mom 4 Comments

Disney Fantasy room 5048

These are photos of Disney Fantasy room 5048. It is a category 4E which is called a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Oversized Verandah. It sleeps 4 people and is just forward of mid-ship and connects through an interior door to room 5050.

This room has a very deep verandah which is not typical of most verandah rooms on the ship.  It is basically twice as deep, but the outer half can be viewed from the verandahs on deck 6 above, which can create privacy issues.  Here you can see how deep the oversized verandah is:

And here are the 2 extra beds made up:

Hi there, thank you for this very informative blog! i am planning our family’s first Disney cruise. We have for children and need a room that sleeps six…does this exist on the Dream ship. Would we need to get 2 rooms? What would you suggest?

Hi Diana! On the Dream, there is not a room that sleeps six. The most a single room sleeps is 5. You will need to get 2 rooms. Most families get 2 connecting rooms that connect through an interior door. We did this on our last cruise. Some families get 2 rooms side by side that don’t connect, or across the hall that don’t connect. It really is just what will work for your family. Each room will need an adult on the reservation, so on paper, there will be 1 adult and 2 kids in each room. They don’t care where you sleep though, so you could put the adults in 1 room and the kids in the other. Hope this helps!
